WHAT IS AN EMERGENCY?

An emergency is:

Something that needs to be fixed immediately or serious injury or damage will occur.

An emergency is not:

Something that a resident would liked to be fixed as soon as possible but will not result injury or damage.

Examples of Emergencies:

  • Loss of hot or cold water

  • Loss of heat (during extreme temperatures)

  • Loss of electricity (beyond normal power outages)

  • Electrical hazard

  • Flooding or major leak

  • Fire

  • Gas leak

  • Any condition that represents a significant imminent threat or potential hazard to the community

  • Broken window that is potentially a safety and/or security hazard.
